VEF Fellow Talk Show: How to Prepare for Success in Graduate Studies in the United States (Based on our enabling legislation and the impending closure of VEF in 2018, VEF is no longer offering any Fellowships or Grants)

On Tuesday, February 22, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., VEF will hold a talk show entitled "How to Prepare for Success in Graduate Studies in the United States". VEF Fellow, Nguyen Minh Anh, who received the VEF Fellowship in 2007 to pursue Ph.D. degree in Computer Sciences at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC), will lead the show. From his personal experiences of over four years studying at UIUC, Minh Anh will share his observations on strengths and weaknesses of Vietnamese students in the U.S. academic environment, information about the U.S. graduate education system as well as his recommendations to prepare and strike for international scholarships. The talk show will give useful tips to address two questions 1) how to gain admission to the top U.S. schools, and 2) how to be successful in the U.S. academic environment.
